While we are not in a house-lifting trade, taking part in house lifting projects is one of our routine businesses. We do the digging and our trades partner does the lifting. Older homes that would normally be torn down to make way for new houses can be lifted up. Some of these older homes are character homes with much detail in them. Discerning home owners sometimes choose to save the old structure and construct a new foundation to hold up the glorious home and therefore save a timeless building. In some cases the home is actually relocated to make way for a laneway home, coach house or townhouses and condos. Saving older artisan build homes is very rewarding and challenging work. Providing a detailed excavating service for such projects is our expertise and niche. We will do the preparation for your house lifting, dig holes for cribbing, and use our smaller machines to excavate under the house after it is raised.
